This web site is based on code from what I believe to be one of the best DVD catalogue software out there today. VCD-DB began in 2004 and was regularly updated until 2007 where it seemed to be abandoned as one of the main developers seemed to have disappeared from the scene. The other developer kept up on the project until he as well seems to have dropped out of sight. I like this software so much that i have somewhat unofficially adopted the software and have been creating a template that suits my needs and also trying to address issues that i have seen on the vcd-db forums. If Konnie or Savig happen to see this web site and would like to get in touch with me I can be reached at pageslinger@yahoo.com
In the coming days or weeks I will be adding movie trailers to all the movies listed (as we all know its illegal to stream the movies on the web without the proper licensing) as well as adding a discussion forum to take up where vcd-db has left off. This template can potentially be used to stream privately owned movies to any computer in your private residence with the simple use of a web server (I use xampp) and http://local host as the address. The players currently in use use flash through flash server or a progressive download. These players can be replaced with other players such as windows media player rather easily with a little knowledge of PHP coding.
Lastly if you like the VCD-db project and would like to see this project further its progress please feel free to make a donation through PayPal or visit an ad on any of these pages. If there is enough intrest i will be releasing all my templates to the general public as open source for the community.
